Learn how to solve problems in an uncomplicated way

Is your horse at times unfocused, lazy or anxious and you feel the need to use force to get your horse "in place" - while what you really want is a partnership where your horse follows at liberty and can be ridden with light signals? Maybe even without reins!

Is your horse at times difficult to stop or hard in the mouth? But buying sharper bits and keeping a firm grip on the reins has not worked as planned?

A few exercises done in a mindful way, will solve all these problems - while building a magic bond with your equine partner at the same time. Horses are by nature soft, willing and sensitive but they need to feel good in our presence to behave that way.

You are the best trainer for your horse

When given the chance, horses can control themselves and form strong bonds with their owners. They are also capable of using their bodies in a functional way, with hind-leg engagement and a functional top line, without being micromanaged.

This is because the mind of the horse affects how they use their body. When their mind is happy and relaxed, their bodies take a functional shape with natural self-carriage and hind leg engagement, coming from self.

Knowing how to do simple exercises that strengthens your bond with your horse makes riding a whole lot easier for you and much healthier for the horse.

Experience the joy of riding a self- controlling and connected horse

Being present and teaching your horse to respond to light signals with softness - will make you a natural and beloved leader for your horse.

By knowing how to give choices you will never have to use force or win a battle with your horse again, because you will know how to make your idea your horse`s idea.

You`ll have a foundation for hind leg engagement and self-carriage offered by the horse, as well as tools for liberty groundwork and riding.

Members have had results after 1 session - 7 sessions will transform your relationship with your horse!

This is a wonderful training! Simple, effective, easy to follow and mind blowing results from very little doing. I love it! You get questions answered and progress with your horse making connection the principal goal without spending months doing the same thing over and over - and the cost is very reasonable. The simple exercise of standing with my horse until he focused and relaxed, helped me a lot with Hàkon. Two days later I was able to trailer load him!

This program is not about keeping the horse calm and relaxed at all times, but to create tools so that your horse can find calmness after being up. Practicing presence is what makes it possible to handle situations like stress in new places and to get your horse relaxed again after galloping. It can even be used when trailer loading!

Body Language

img-21_Moment2 (2)_edited.jpg

Horses communicate with each other through body language. That`s why it`s wise to use body language when training horses. You will learn how to use your body language when communicating with your horse and to position yourself as a leader in a way that is natural for the horse. In this way you become a natural leader your horse trusts and wants to follow.

Liberty Riding

Riding without depending on the reins consists of your horse responding signals and having a choice. By giving choices, you allow your horse to learn from his or her actions and gain self-control. When your horse is forward and relaxed, and wants to be where he or she is, not by the gate or where the other horses are, you become one with your horse. It feels like magic!

Connect with your horse

One thing that many horse owners and riders struggle with, is to get their horse to focus, relax and be present. By practicing the exercise in this unit, you will:

  • Be able to claim your personal space without offending the horse

  • Be able to get your horse’s attention

  • Be able to connect with your horse, even when the horse is excited, nervous, unfocused, shut down, asking for treats or when trailer loading.

Become a leader when leading

If we want a great partnership with our horse, it`s important that we take leadership in a way that is natural and comfortable for the horse to understand.

What we do with the lead rope when leading, will affect how our horse responds to the rein when ridden. A horse that can follow the slack when led, will also know how to respond to feel when ridden.

I share tips to success when leading and how to teach your horse to follow the slack.

Communicate with body language

when using halter and lead

Learn how to use body language when communicating with your horse. By making the horse aware of body language cues prior to the use of other cues, horses soon learn to respond to our body language. Say goodbye to the lunge whip and hello body language.

Communicate with your horse at

liberty and lead without lead rope

This unit shows you the next big leap. It teaches how to communicate with horses by just using body language. You will also learn how to lead your horse without lead rope.

If your horse is hard to catch, this unit will solve the problem once and for all!  If you horse is slow, your horse will learn to maintain forward from self. If you horse is rushy or nervous, this exercise will teach your horse to find relaxation and softness.

Help your horse become braver

and less spooky

This unit teaches how you can help your horse become braver and less spooky. You will learn how to make any horse braver to potentially scary objects and situations, without hurting yourself or the horse in the process.

This unit also includes videos on saddling at liberty and saddle fitting - a great way to ensure your horse is comfortable when being saddled.

Ride with light signals

Learn the essentials of riding a horse with light signals and how to empty out worry in the horse when riding. I show how I teach horses to respond feel, this will make your horse respond with softness to your rein aid and easy to stop.

You will also learn how to attach your leg aid to the hind-leg of the horse and ride your horse forward from behind.

Trailer loading made easy

One thing that we as horse owners sometimes struggle with - is to get our horse into a trailer. This is because horses are a bit claustrophobic, this is often made worse by trying to force the horse into a trailer.

By using the groundwork taught in this program your horse will become attracted by the trailer, because you know when to put your horse to work and when to offer rest. You will also learn how to use the connection exercise to get rid of claustrophobia or stress.

Teach your horse self-control

It is not possible to teach horses self-control by controlling them. Because horses can’t do something by choice, without having a choice in the first place.

In this unit you will learn how to make your horse self controlling by giving choices when riding and when doing liberty training in a larger arena. You will no longer need to use your riding aids or lunge line to control your horse, because you know how to make your idea your horse`s idea. This will make your horse much easier and safer to ride.

Ride without bridle

Once you’ve completed all the exercises in the previous units you will have developed a new connection with your horse. With this in place, you’d be surprised how easy it is to ride without a bridle. This unit teaches you the important last pieces of the puzzle. That makes riding without a bridle safe and easy.

If you don`t want to ride without a bridle, feel free to skip it! Be proud of yourself for knowing how to ride a horse without depending on the reins for control.

Play ball with your horse

This unit is all about doing fun stuff with your horse! From taking your horse along as hand horse to playing football. Ball play is great way to motivate a lazy horse or desensitize a nervous horse, they even do collecting exercises with the ball.

The unit can be done earlier in the program.  It`s however important, that horses respond to body language and respects our personal space before playing ball with them.

How to motivate a lazy horse

Our old and lazy children`s horse is the star of this unit. This unit came about because the program is show with a forward and anxious mare, members wanted a video series with a dull and unmotivated horse to learn how to solve this.

This unit will show you how to make a dull horse eager to work and easy to ride - and not pull the reins out of the riders hands to eat grass, even when ridden by kids.

Long reining

Learn how to long rein (also called double lunge) without using the reins to manipulate the neck and risk getting a horse with a curled neck and no hind leg engagement. Know what equipment to use and how to do turns that promotes hind leg engagement, self carriage and softness.

Foal handling and herd management

Follow along as we tend to our herd of horses. Learn hoof trimming and deworming. How to halter train foals and young horses as well as herd management. How to act in a herd of horses and even teach horses to respond to body language and being herded and hung out with. Articles and research on common horse health issues and how to avoid them are also shared.

After doing ground work with halter and lead rope, we had our first session at liberty. It was a success! He followed me around before we even got started and he recognized all my signals from working with halter and lead rope.
